How to Add Music to a Vlog Without Losing the Original Sound
Footsteps on a quiet street. Rain against a window. A friend laughing off camera. Sometimes the sound you recorded is the part that makes a vlog feel real.
Background music can help, but it does not belong over every moment. Here is a simple way to decide what to keep and what to add.
Listen before choosing a song
Play your clips once without music. Is there a sound you would miss if it disappeared? Keep that sound in the foreground. Footsteps can make a walk feel closer; a few seconds of rain can set the mood without a soundtrack.
If the recorded sound is distracting across the video, lower the original audio and let music carry the mood.
Give music one clear job
Music works well when you want to connect several scenes or give a quiet montage a steady mood. Choose one track that fits the pace of the whole video, then play it from beginning to end before deciding.
Start with the music softer than you think you need. On your phone speaker, check whether you can still hear the sounds that matter. If the track pulls attention away from the scene, turn it down or leave it out.
Try the balance in JOGAK
